MD01: Help Frank Kratovil Tonight in DC w/ Mikulski & Cardin

Frank Kratovil is the Democrat running for the seat currently held by GOP moderate Wayne Gilchrest who lost his primary. The current GOP nominee, Andy Harris, is an extreme right-wing, Club for Growth backed candidate who had hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on his behalf. Frank is a great candidate who is a solid Democrat -- and with support can definitely win this district.

Tonight (Tuesday, May 13) Blue Catapult PAC and WNDC Pac will cohost a fundraiser for Frank Kratovil.  We are asking for minimum contributions of $35 -- with the open wine/beer bar and food, it is a great deal.  Plus Senators Barbara Mikulski and Ben Cardin are expected to join us after votes.

Tuesday, May 13
6:30PM to 8:00PM
at the Woman's National Democratic Club
1526 New Hampshire Ave, NW
Washington, DC 200036
On the corner of Q Street and New Hampshire Ave, NW--about 3 blocks east of the DuPont Circle North Metro Exit

If you might attend, please email frankevent [at] bluecatapult.com

If you can't come, please consider a contribution to Frank's campaign here:

Even if you can't make it tonight, consider making a donation.  This is another seat Democrats can pick up in the fall...

Re: Agreed (none / 0)

Really, that I didn't know.

Is their any evidence of this?

Does he have Netroots support, because I havent heard of a movement yet?
Are there any actblue.com fundraisers setup?

Maryland constantly dissapoints me for liberal activism,  it almost does not exist.
I went to a Democratic "meeting" in Towson, the first after the 2006 victory.
Can't say I was ever more dissapointed.

I hope we pick up the slack this year, something has to be said when our Congressional nominees are funded by private citizens of other states.

We need to get our blow torches and lead pipes and get to work!
(Pulp fiction movie ref for those scraching head)

Re: MD01: Help Frank Kratovil (none / 0)

Will you guys be helping our strongest and hottest MD ticket Donna Edwards?

Please do, it is one of America's most important congressional races this year.

I will donate money and time to you guys if I see some plans of a smear campaign on the neo-con and MD embarrassment Andy Harris.

Does Kravitol support Obama? (none / 0)

Re: Does Kravitol support Obama? (none / 0)

Very good question, and a great Litmus test.

Maryland could be such a great state for Democrats.

I have been brewing ideas to start a PAC to push for more Primary delegates and more Electoral College votes.

As a state we get zero credit or press for anything.
Being 45 mins from DC you would think we would be a hotbed for activism.

Our state, with it's unpopular Democratic govenor who is co-chair of the DLC and SD for Hill for over a year nominated Obama for President by a 20% margin!

Ugh,  any Marylanders here give me some advice, as an activist I spend 95% of my time on races OUTSIDE of MD  (I did voulenteer almost 100 hours for the 2006 election, in the Columbia district).

I want to help Donna Edwards, but she is so far it would make it hard, at least on weekdays.  Plus I am from Baltimore,  I have almost no concept of Montgomery County, as far as the people and issues.

Re: Unfortunately, I asked the question (none / 0)

yea, it probably means he is a horrible republican.

I guess you will be voting for Andy Harris.

There in lies my point on my MD Dems are so weak.

We were so spoiled here by Dem dominace for President, Senate, and Govenor that you get dumb ass comments like this.

So CoyoteCreek, since you wants Dems to win so bad, can you tell me why Maryland has ZERO political activity going on.

Why was it after I was done with the 2006 campaign I realized I was the only volunteer under 50 that did not have some tie to politics as a career.

Re: Unfortunately, I asked the question (none / 0)

He is running as a Democrat so of course he supports Obama, or he will after the Convention.

Re: I want to know his support now... (none / 0)

So by your logic you will vote Republican.

Wouldnt be suprised if you voted for Ehrlirich.

So tell me, how was Maryland mislead to give Obama a 20% lead.

Also why didn't Clinton not lift a finger to campaign in our state?
